Leadership Resonance

Are you occupying space in this life or are you defining the space?
I don’t ask you this question to be confrontational. I ask it to bring to your attention the serious need we have for more leaders in all industries at any level who are willing to make this world better for everyone. Make our workplaces inspired, optimistic.
Replace the word leadership with the word RESONANCE. Resonance is “the ability to evoke or suggest images, memories, and emotions” that have a lasting influence on others. In astronomy it’s the synchronous gravitational relationship between celestial bodies.
Does it take bold acts to resonate? Does a person have to be charismatic to have others gravitate to them? Yes AND No. Bold acts and charisma may get recognition – good and bad. But the simple gestures of showing you care. Offering help when its unexpected inspires. These acts resonate. They resonate more deeply than the bold ones.
Our world is in need of leaders who resonate with others. I don’t care if you’re an executive, elected official, or customer service representative, your leadership can resonate with peers, employees, citizens, and customers.
Our world or where you work may feel heavy, burdensome. But does that mean you can’t do something to make better the space you live or add more meaning to other’s lives? Nope.
You simply need to make the first move.

Love this distinction of resonance Shawn. There is an old belief lingering that “leaders” somehow stand above others. That very notion implies being disconnected. Resonance is what makes leaders stand out to other in a way that lifts them up – that is the kind of leadership that exemplifies what “new era leadership” as you have called it is all about..

Hi my friend,
I know I say it often, but you just have such a keen ability to zero in on the nuggets of wisdom and explain them so well.
