Passion is a Magnet

Passion is a Magnet

We are drawn like a magnet to people who show and live their passion.  It’s an undeniable force.  I assert that one reason for the magnetism of passion is our desire to be part of something.

It is the infectious nature of passion that makes it a vital ingredient for a change leader.  When passion for change is visible, audible, it pulls people in to want and to understand more about the change. Passion impels us to know more. To be more. To be part of something outside ourselves, something bigger.

A change leader inspires people through a passionate vision of a new future.  It’s not a vision that speaks of better technology, but how the technology improves employees’ and customers’ lives. It’s a vision in which others can see themselves.

Passion is a magnet. Use it authentically to connect with staff, citizens, and teams to invite them into the future you see. Your passion can help you make the connection between what you see and how others see themselves in your vision.
