This blog is dedicated to sharing what we can accomplish by transforming leadership to bring more optimism to the workplace and to the work done. It’s also written from the perspective that we need to expect more from each other. Specifically, I believe we let each other off the hook by not standing for a type of leadership that confronts the difficult interactions and situations with grace and authenticity. This blog reflects my musings on these related areas of leadership.
Leadership in the 21st Century must evolve where we can learn from the fumbles and foibles, lies and deceits that dominate stories of our business and political leaders. And we must also learn from the generosity, curiosity, and openness of those leaders trailblazing new frontiers and those who grow businesses with a social consciousness to do good, help human beings, and grow businesses through a collaborative relationship with their employees.
Leaders who do this I call New Era Leaders.
With over 20 years working to help people contribute their best, I’ve grown deeply passionate about inspiring, educating, and sharing what I’ve learned helps leaders bring the best out in their people. This is my purpose.
This blog will explore topics aimed to restore optimism in the workplace and in the work people do.
Sometimes the topics are exploratory. Other times they are well researched or rooted in my experiences. I also dare to believe that work can be a source of joy, too.
For businesses to succeed, they need customers who believe and buy what is offered. This is best achieved when employees are viewed as collaborators, contributors to the successful endeavor in serving new and existing customers.
